Hello, hello! Quick update on all the goings on going on.
• I had an artist interview by the awesome curator Hana Kim over at Supahcute.com! I talk a bit about my Daily Drawing process and bookbinding and such! You can check it out here:
• February 19th marked the 5th year anniversary of my Daily Drawing project. Over the last year or so I had morphed it about from traditional one panel, marker and pen stories to full watercolor to a couple of mini webcomics! I decided though that I would bring the project to a close. I have not missed a single day of posting, 7 days a week, so I have 1,828 posts (I would say drawings, but I had multiple in each post by the time I started doing the webcomics!) and gained so much from the experience, including a style I love, a stronger sense of storytelling, and, of course, a huge sense of accomplishment and pride for sticking to it for so long! However, I wanted to be able to take more time on the current running project, The Evil Overlord, rather than running to keep up or only posting "throwaway" panels and turning a fun project more and more mundane. So, I see this far more as an upgrade and potential for more fun future posts, including fun progress posts and videos that I'll showcase on my Patreon page, both for Patrons and the public! I plan on writing a public post on Patreon talking more about The Evil Overlord project soon as well, so stay tuned! :)
•Other than that, I'm working on some new paintings, I have a new little series of books that I'm creating called "Daily Drawing Minis" that will showcase my favorite daily drawings from all 5 years. Considering how many illustrations I've done, there will be QUITE a few books coming out. Vol 1. is available now in my Etsy shop here:
I created a sneak peek flip through the book for you guys to check out on YouTube which I am linking at the bottom of the post, so be sure to check it out!
And with that, I'm off to paint! Thanks for stopping by. :)
